About Powertec Drive Systems

Powertec drive and motor-control systems are used in demanding applications where high torque, rapid response, broad speed control, and precise motor feedback are essential to reliable operation.

Control Concepts Dallas supports legacy Powertec drive equipment used with PMAC and brushless motor systems throughout mining, marine operations, power generation, material handling, and other high-performance motion applications.

Our technicians diagnose drive electronics, motor-feedback circuits, control interfaces, and operating conditions that can affect system performance. We can also help evaluate repair, replacement, retrofit, or modernization options for aging or difficult-to-support equipment.

Equipment we service includes:

The Repair Process

When a Powertec drive or motor-control system develops a problem, Control Concepts Dallas evaluates the equipment and surrounding operating conditions to determine whether the issue originates within the drive or elsewhere in the application.

Our technicians review incoming power, fault history, drive settings, motor data, resolver or encoder feedback, electrical connections, cooling, and mechanical loads. When appropriate, the equipment is inspected and tested through controlled power-up and functional motor testing.

Once the cause is identified, we determine whether repair, replacement, retrofit, or modernization is the most practical solution.

Most drive failures can be avoided through preventative maintenance.
