About ABB Drive Systems

ABB drive systems are used in industrial motor-control and automation applications where dependable speed regulation, energy efficiency, and precise process control are essential to daily operations.

Control Concepts Dallas services current and legacy ABB equipment used throughout industrial plants, commercial facilities, HVAC systems, water and wastewater treatment, material handling, and process-control applications.

Our technicians diagnose drive faults, inspect electrical connections and cooling components, test input and output power sections, replace failed components, back up drive settings, and verify operation through controlled power-up and functional testing. We can also evaluate retrofit or modernization options for aging equipment when appropriate.

Equipment we service includes:

The Repair Process

When an ABB drive or motor-control system develops a problem, Control Concepts Dallas evaluates the equipment and surrounding operating conditions to determine whether the issue is within the drive or elsewhere in the application.

Our technicians review fault history, incoming power, drive settings, electrical connections, cooling components, connected motors, mechanical loads, and communication signals. Before applying full power, we inspect and test the input and output power sections, back up settings when appropriate, and verify operation through controlled power-up and motor testing.

Once the cause is identified, we recommend the most practical solution, whether that involves component-level repair, failed-part replacement, retrofit, or modernization.

Most drive failures can be avoided through preventative maintenance.
