The Repair Process

When an Eaton drive develops a problem, Control Concepts Dallas evaluates the drive and surrounding operating conditions to determine whether the issue originates within the drive or elsewhere in the application.

Our technicians inspect control boards, terminals, power connections, cooling components, and internal electronics while reviewing fault history, operating parameters, incoming power, connected motors, mechanical loads, communication systems, and environmental conditions. Before applying power, we test critical input and output components, back up existing parameters when possible, and monitor the drive during controlled power-up.

After repairs are completed, the drive is functionally tested to verify proper operation. When repairing the existing unit is no longer practical, we can help evaluate replacement, retrofit, or modernization options for the surrounding motor-control system.

Most drive failures can be avoided through preventative maintenance.
