About Eurotherm Drive Systems

Eurotherm drive systems have long been used in industrial applications where precise motor control, process reliability, and efficient operation are essential to production.

 

The Eurotherm Drives business originated as SSD, later operated as Eurotherm SSD, and was ultimately sold to Parker Hannifin. Many Eurotherm-branded AC and DC drives remain in service throughout food and beverage processing, plastics manufacturing, glass production, aerospace, and other demanding industrial environments.

The Repair Process

When a Eurotherm drive develops a problem, Control Concepts Dallas evaluates the drive and surrounding operating conditions to determine whether the issue originates within the drive or elsewhere in the application.

Our technicians inspect control boards, power sections, terminals, electrical connections, cooling components, and internal electronics. We also review fault history, operating parameters, incoming power, connected motors, mechanical loads, communication systems, and environmental conditions. Before applying power, critical input and output components are tested, existing parameters are backed up when possible, and the drive is monitored during controlled power-up.

After repairs are completed, the drive is functionally tested to verify proper operation. When repairing the existing unit is no longer practical, we can help evaluate replacement, retrofit, or modernization options for the surrounding motor-control system.

Most drive failures can be avoided through preventative maintenance.
